Varisite
Varisite is a hydrated aluminium phosphate mineral. It is often confused with turquoise and is almost always a beautiful shade of green. It can often be several shades of green in the same stone.
Many people try to sell it as turquoise, or variquoise, a supposed combination of Varisite and Turquoise. Most of this stone comes from Nevada and most dealers acknowledge that "variquoise or spiderwebbed variquoise is really just beautiful variscite.
Remember, the difference. Turquoise is a copper mineral; varisite is an alluminium phosphate mineral.
Some of the most beautiful Varisite around comes from Snowville, along with the material that comes from the Peacock and New Lander mines.
